GRANULAR ACTIVATED CARBON (GAC)
Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) is produced from premium raw materials such as coal, wood, and coconut shells. Its strong adsorptive properties make it highly effective for removing a wide range of contaminants from water, air, liquids, and gases, thereby enhancing taste, odour, and colour. GAC is commonly used in applications like municipal and environmental water treatment, waste gas treatment, mercury removal from industrial gases, food and beverage processing, metal recovery, and even medical applications. Different particle sizes of GAC are suited for vapour and liquid adsorption tasks. Our coconut shell-based activated carbon features a high proportion of micropores, making it excellent for filtering small organic molecules, recovering precious metals, and reducing disinfection byproducts (DBPs) in drinking water. Our wood-based activated carbon, with its greater macro-porosity, excels at decolorizing liquids and removing larger molecules such as MIB (2-Methylisoborneol) and Geosmin. For general filtration needs, our coal-based activated carbon, with its balanced pore structure, is an ideal choice.
